Nottingham Wedding Photographer

I am based in Hertfordshire but I photograph weddings right across the country. Nottingham and the East Midlands are a particular hotspot since it is where I grew up and I frequently visit friends and family in the area. I have had the privilege of photographing lots and lots of lovely couples saying their vows in Nottingham and across the East Midlands at many beautiful venues. Here are a few of my favourites.

Prestwold Hall

What can I say about the setting of Prestwold Hall except the obvious, it is stunning! A short drive from Nottingham set within rolling parkland in the Leicestershire Wolds, Prestwold Hall is an elegant Grade I listed stately home. Everything is so photogenic. Grand rooms, beautifully manicured gardens, and not to be missed, the orangery where the light falls perfectly for those romantic newlywed wedding day photos.

We had Stephen as our wedding photographer and we can’t recommend him highly enough. Firstly his photographs are beautiful, he’s captured the day so well. We particularly love the personal photos he took where the three of us went off, some amazing shots. He did a pre meeting with us which really helped and allowed us to get to know each other. Stephen is incredibly professional, went above and beyond and he’s really lovely guy to have at your wedding. Thank you Stephen, you really helped make our day.

SwanCar Farm Country House

Swancar Country House is an exclusive use wedding venue set amidst pretty countryside right outside the city of Nottingham. Rustic charm meets contemporary elegance, it’s a picturesque and secluded place to say ‘I do.’ There are photo opportunities aplenty here. I particularly love the glass barn. Not only is it a lovely setting for your drinks reception, but those dramatic floor to ceiling windows and the antler chandelier make for an epic spot to have a photo!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer then Stephen is your guy! He captured our day perfectly from start to finish. His style of photography is amazing and got the perfect mixture of posed and natural shots. He has such a great attention to detail and captures such special moments you would want captured on your wedding day. Stephen made us feel so comfortable and at ease taking the couple shots which we worried we may find awkward. He was also approaching us throughout the day with ideas of photographs that would be good to take and took advantage of all the great places in our venue. A lot of people at the wedding also commented on what lovely, down to earth man Stephen is too. We haven’t stopped looking at all the photos since we received them, reliving every moment! Thank you Stephen you were an absolute pleasure.

Norwood Park

Norwood Park is an exclusive private country estate in Nottinghamshire. Wedding ceremonies and celebrations have been taking place at Norwood Park since the 1650’s. The house and grounds are beautiful, complete with elegant Georgian interiors (including a sweeping staircase which is a must for a romantic photo or two!) It’s not hard to see why this has been such a popular place to celebrate weddings for over 350 years!

Colwick Hall Hotel

Colwick Hall Hotel is a magnificent Palladian style Georgian country house situated within acres of beautiful parkland. This venue hosts beautiful wedding ceremonies indoors and outdoors. For me the highlight is the stunning Grand Ballroom within the manor. With it’s hand painted ceiling and iconic pillars makes for a dramatic and romantic ceremony. Colwick is a beautiful Nottingham wedding venue!

Stephen did our wedding in September and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
He arrived very early in the morning and spent a lot of time with the bridal party getting ready at the venue, then off to the church before everybody arrived, then back to the venue in time for our arrival as man and wife, he stayed long into the night in order to capture every element of our special day.
Nothing was too much trouble and for the most part of the day you wouldn’t have known he was even there.
Having recently received our photos we couldn’t be happier
