“When looking for a wedding photographer, I was very picky. I trawled through the galleries of local (Lincolnshire) people and couldn’t find a style I liked. I started to look further a field and found some photos by Pike photography from a friends’ wedding. I looked further into his work and immediately liked his style – his edits, how he framed the shots, the relaxed posing all appealed to me. We enquired and thankfully he was available and willing to travel.
Stephen arrived just after 10am (for a 2pm ceremony) and immediately set to work taking pictures of us getting ready, shots of the venue and other details as well as running over the road to take some pictures with the men getting ready too. Throughout the day he worked tirelessly taking both posed and candid photos of us and our guests right up to the evening party and we couldn’t be happier with the results. He made us feel relaxed in front of the camera and so many of the pictures are of us giggling and having fun. He also liaised brilliantly with our videographer and wedding coordinator, so much so that I was asked if they came as a team and all worked together all of the time (they all only met that morning).
The weather didn’t go our way and we didn’t really get a ‘golden hour’ or a sunset, so instead he suggested some shots down the driveway that used some of his lighting set up. They were stunning!
3 days after the wedding, we received a preview album, and less than 2 weeks after the wedding we received our complete wedding album containing almost 950 pictures. They are all simply stunning and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of photographer. I would highly recommend Pike Photography for any event, but especially wedding photographs – his work is amazing.”
