romantic Winter Wedding Photography

Winter is a truly romantic time to get married, and generally is just as photogenic as summer. If not, even more so!
White frost, crisp winter sun and dramatic overcast skies all make for stunning and unique wedding photos when seen through the right lens.

The days may be shorter and darker, but with studio type flash on location I’m an experienced winter wedding photographer and will put this to our advantage, taking striking photos of you and your guests even when the sun has gone down. If you have been considering a winter wedding but worried about how this might limit your wedding photography options, rest assured, you are in very safe hands with Pike Photography.

Control The Stars

When you can make your own light (using studio strobes or off camera flash) you are not governed by what is naturally available and so have control of the wedding day timeline. This is a special area of expertise I have as a winter wedding photographer and is critical for winter weddings.

We used Stephen for our wedding in October 2016 and we cannot recommend him highly enough. We had a meeting and practice shoot with him prior to the wedding so we could explain exactly what we wanted, and that was what we got! Stephen made everyone feel very relaxed and we hardly knew he was there. We’d asked for more natural, rather than staged, photos and Stephen managed to just blend in so people didn’t even realise he was taking their photos. We have some really beautiful photos of our wedding and even though it was a grey day, Stephen made the most of it and cleverly used light to make the photos look really dramatic. After the wedding, we got the photos really quickly. A very professional service from start to finish. Thank you Stephen.

I do Christmas

If you love Christmas time then a festive themed wedding could be just what you are looking for. Combining the joy of Christmas with a wedding is guaranteed to dial up feelings of togetherness and celebration to 11, and oh my will you have some beautiful wedding photos!

Choosing a photographer is quite scary, as your putting all your trust in that one person to make sure they capture your wedding day just as you dreamed. Stephen did exactly that! He was exactly what we wanted from a photographer, trusting, professional and relaxed which made our day alot easier. He came up with some fun and unique photos and was non intrusive. We can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done. From meeting him, during our wedding day and after it. Thanks, Guy and Louise
